Aston Martin Unveils More Refined Super SUV for 2027
Aston Martin has introduced the 2027 DBX GT, a new addition to its high-performance SUV lineup that prioritizes elegance and passenger comfort over raw aggression. This latest model joins the sportier DBX S and represents a strategic expansion of the automaker’s super-SUV offerings as the DBX line enters its seventh generation on the market.
The DBX GT carries the same 717-horsepower twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine as its S counterpart, delivering identical performance metrics: a 3.1-second sprint to 60 mph and a top speed of 193 mph. However, Aston Martin has completely retuned the suspension, transmission, and overall driving character to create a noticeably different ownership experience focused on refinement rather than track-day capability.
Luxury Styling and Interior Appointments

The exterior design of the DBX GT takes a more understated approach compared to the DBX S. The wide front grille exchanges aggressive mesh patterns for horizontal bars available in both bright and dark finishes. These horizontal design elements repeat across the lower bumper sections and alongside the LED daytime running lights. The body-color painted lower front bumper, side sills, and rear diffuser create a more cohesive, elegant appearance than the contrast black trim found on the sportier S model.
Standard 22-inch wheels with a Satin Titanium finish wrap around Pirelli Scorpion Zero all-season tires, though a sportier 23-inch wheel and summer tire package remains available for buyers who want added performance capability. The quad exhaust pipes sit side by side rather than stacked vertically, and Aston Martin engineered a unique exhaust tune to produce what the company describes as a cleaner, richer auditory signature.
Inside the cabin, Aston Martin focused intensely on luxury materials and comfort enhancements. New ornate embroidery adorns the seats with decorative stitching that climbs the sides and frames the shoulder support and headrest areas. Front and rear seat cushioning receives an additional 0.4-inch layer of memory foam to improve long-distance comfort. In the rear, the two outboard seats feature more pronounced bolstering that makes them feel distinctly separate, while the middle seat receives upholstered trim in a contrasting color.
Refinement Features and Noise Reduction

Aston Martin invested significantly in cabin tranquility through structural improvements and sound-deadening measures. Enhanced acoustic laminated rear side glass, additional sound-deadening material in the door panels and wheel arches, and reinforced body structure all work together to reduce ambient noise levels. A standard panoramic glass roof further enhances the premium feel of the cabin. Anodized metal trim pieces, including the drive mode selector, and deep pile floor mats round out the upscale appointments.
The suspension tuning represents perhaps the most important distinction between the GT and S models. Aston Martin revised the damper valving to absorb bumps and road imperfections more effectively while maintaining excellent body control during spirited driving. The nine-speed automatic transmission has been retuned for smoother, more seamless gear transitions, with a new transmission mount bushing that better controls movement relative to the vehicle frame. Two additional longitudinal dampers added between the body and rear subframe further improve ride quality.
The throttle pedal response has also been recalibrated for enhanced precision and a more measured driving feel. These adjustments collectively transform the DBX GT into a vehicle that excels at highway cruising and urban driving scenarios rather than aggressive performance driving, though its power output remains substantial and readily available when needed.
Availability and Market Position
The 2027 DBX GT will begin reaching customers during the fourth quarter of this year. It replaces the 2027 DBX 707 in the lineup and sits alongside the DBX S as two distinct interpretations of Aston Martin’s luxury super-SUV formula. While the company has not yet announced official pricing, industry estimates suggest the DBX GT will start around $290,000, positioning it as a genuine alternative for luxury SUV shoppers prioritizing comfort and refinement. For those interested in comparing different approaches to premium SUV design, which three row SUVs offer the most space behind explores broader segment options.
As the ultra-premium SUV market becomes increasingly diverse, the DBX GT demonstrates that manufacturers understand buyers want performance SUVs tailored to specific lifestyles. Whether you prioritize track capability or serene highway refinement, Aston Martin now offers a super-SUV matched to your preferences.
