Polk Audio Signa S2 Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer

Detailed Review

The Polk Audio Signa S2 soundbar with wireless subwoofer strikes an impressive balance between performance and practicality. At just over 2 inches tall, it disappears beneath most TV screens without blocking your view or interfering with remote sensors. The included wireless subwoofer delivers genuine bass impact that TV speakers simply can't match, and Polk's patented VoiceAdjust technology ensures dialogue remains clear and intelligible across movies, shows, and sports broadcasts. Setup is genuinely quick: connect via HDMI ARC or optical cable, power on, and you're ready to listen within minutes.

Audio quality for the price is compelling. The 2.1-channel configuration with Dolby Digital decoding creates a convincing surround sound experience that makes content feel more cinematic and engaging. While it won't replicate the height channels or spatial audio of premium soundbars, the Signa S2 handles everything from dialogue-heavy dramas to action-packed films with competence and clarity. The wireless subwoofer connectivity is reliable within its 7-meter range, eliminating cable clutter while maintaining consistent bass response.

Connectivity flexibility sets this soundbar apart at its price level. HDMI ARC, optical, and 3.5mm inputs cover virtually any TV setup, while Bluetooth streaming lets you play music directly from smartphones, tablets, and compatible devices. The included remote provides straightforward control, and the overall build quality suggests durability for long-term use. For buyers upgrading from TV speakers or seeking an affordable soundbar solution without sacrificing performance, the Signa S2 delivers genuine value and noticeably improved home theater audio.
