Shark HV322 Rocket Pet Plus Stick Vacuum

Detailed Review

The Shark HV322 Rocket Pet Plus delivers impressive performance in a remarkably compact package. At just 8.6 pounds, this corded stick vacuum eliminates the strain of pushing heavier models, making it particularly appealing for multi-level homes, stair cleaning, and users with mobility concerns. The dual conversion feature transforms it from a full-size upright to a handheld unit in seconds, providing genuine versatility that extends beyond marketing claims. Whether you're tackling embedded pet hair on a sofa or reaching ceiling fans and light fixtures, this vacuum adapts to your cleaning needs without requiring separate equipment.

Pet owners will appreciate the thoughtfully designed attachments included with this model. The Pet Multi-Tool and Pet Crevice Tool work together to extract stubborn pet hair from carpets, upholstery, and hard-to-reach crevices where hair accumulates. The LED headlights on both the main nozzle and handheld unit reveal debris that's invisible under normal lighting, ensuring you catch what other vacuums miss. The XL dust cup holds 0.68 quarts, reducing the frequency of emptying and allowing longer cleaning sessions without interruption. Suction power remains consistent across carpet, hard floors, and upholstered furniture, making it genuinely effective on the surfaces where pet owners need it most.

The primary trade-off involves its corded design, which restricts movement to outlet proximity and requires cable management during use. The single power level means no suction adjustment for different cleaning scenarios, and the foam filter demands regular maintenance to preserve performance. These limitations are typical of budget-friendly vacuum designs and don't significantly diminish the unit's value proposition for pet owners seeking a lightweight, affordable solution. The five-year limited warranty provides reasonable protection and reflects manufacturer confidence in durability.
