Detailed Review
The Sony WH-CH520 represents an impressive value proposition in the wireless headphone market. With up to 50 hours of battery life, these headphones easily outlast most competitors, making them ideal for travelers, commuters, and anyone who wants to minimize charging interruptions. The quick-charging capability via USB-C ensures you're never stuck with dead batteries for long, and the included cable is a nice touch for immediate use out of the box.
Comfort and sound quality are thoughtfully executed here. The lightweight build and swivel earcups make these headphones easy to put on and take off, while the adjustable headband and soft ear pads accommodate different head shapes and sizes. The DSEE technology intelligently upscales compressed audio files, giving streaming music a noticeable quality boost. For those who want more control, the Sony Headphones Connect app offers EQ customization, allowing you to tailor the sound signature to your personal preferences and music style.
Beyond audio, the WH-CH520 excels at everyday functionality. The multipoint connection feature lets you pair two devices simultaneously, seamlessly switching between your phone and laptop without manual reconnection. The built-in microphone handles hands-free calls clearly, and features like Google Find My Device integration and Swift Pair for Windows 10 computers make these headphones work seamlessly within your existing tech ecosystem. For the price, this is a well-rounded package that doesn't compromise on essential features.
